This about sums it up…

I love cats, I really do. But lets face it, most of them don’t love us back. These disgusting, yet true to life, nesting dolls really illustrate the most “endearing” things about living with cats. And by endearing, I mean barf-inducing daily tribulations my bat-shit crazy cat-lady neighbor would like to immortalize in the form of artsy nesting dolls. The creator says, Do you know a crazy cat lady? Buy her this solid wood set of nesting dolls, and make her day. I’ve painted each by hand, and hand stamped the words “lick everywhere, cough up, ignore, shred, poop” on the back of each doll. I then sealed the dolls with a top coat for protection. Although the creator obviously crafted these with love and intent, I can’t bring myself to putting them in the “artwork” category… Source Craftastrophe

McDonald’s fries the size of a bus: that’s all the world needs…. Wonder how much they paid for that ad space. The advertisement, placed for viewing during Switzerland’s Zurifest, is fortunately not a permanent feature and will be removed shortly after the festival. Source Ads of the World

RACER: Low-Tech Wipeout

RACER: Low-Tech Wipeout

Remember the arcade game Wipeout, where you’d use a steering wheel, shifter, and accelerator pedal to careen recklessly down a highway full of obstacles, such as motorists, billboards, people? Well, Malte Jehmlich and Matthes Mikysec of sputnic.tv have re-invented the game in a lower-tech way, using a cardboard racetrack, an RC car with mounted camera, and the actual arcade game housing to control the car. It’s pretty darn cool. Here’s the video, which will undoubtedly explain things much better. RACER DEMO 0.1 – video game mashup from sputnic on Vimeo. Source: TechnaBob

Matrix Pita

Matrix Pita

Being a huge Matrix fan, I found this quite humorous :) It’s from www.captchart.com, which makes funny little illustrated anecdotes to random CAPTCHA phrases. If you’re unfamiliar with CAPTCHA, it’s the wobbly looking security-codes that you fill out when using an online form. They’re purpose is to prevent automated spam-bots from sending their unwanted emails through forms found on websites. Sometimes the random words combine to make silly visuals. View more at CAPTCHArt

“But You’re Like Really Pretty”

“But You’re Like Really Pretty”

Here’s another blog that I shamelessly enjoy: But You’re Like Really Pretty. I can admit that I love a good seedy gossip blog as much as the big news or art blogs…. I don’t discriminate. Although But You’re Like Really Pretty doesn’t really fall into the category of seedy, I did find it through a seedy gossip blog. But You’re Like Really Pretty is unique in that it’s only updated on Wednesday’s, and each new illustration depicts one of the many ridiculous things going on in the world of celebrities that particular week. Nothing is off limits, from Mel Gibson to Jersey Shore, Paris Hilton to Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry to True Blood. Oh yeah, and there’s iPhone wallpaper downloads :) Here’s a sampling View more at But You’re Like Really Pretty

“Stuff No One Told Me”

“Stuff No One Told Me”

Sometimes we all need a little reminder about life etiquette, like when feelings of greed, pity, vindication, or narcissism creep up and make us start thinking or doing crazy things. Stuff No One Told Me (but I learned anyway) is a great blog by illustrator, Alex Noriega, that effectively captures these little life lessons in a fun and humorous way. Simple, truthful and relative in some way to everyone’s feelings and experiences at some point in life. Here’s a few of my favorite illustrations from the site: Visit Alex Noriega’s Stuff No One Told Me

YouTube Hidden Snake Game

YouTube Hidden Snake Game

So when you’re bored waiting for your video to load, you can play the hidden YouTube Snake Game. The clever folks over at Google/YouTube have hidden a little game that entails a snake gobbling up dots. The more it eats, the longer and faster it gets, and touch the sides or your own tail and it’s game over. The folks over at urlesque have posted a nifty video to demonstrate how to unlock and play the game. It’s basically holding down the left mouse button for a period of time… here’s the video.
