Hang up the phone. The sooner, the better. I am a web designer and got an email from a guy about a website asking me to call him the next day. He didn’t provide a phone number in the email, and stated that his budget is $250,000. Sounds pretty bogus, right? Well, I give him a break and email him back to say that he didn’t leave a number in the email. So he emails back with a number, and I think ok, well maybe this is a legitimate person who just pushed the zero key too hard when entering his budget. After all he forgot to list a phone number, so it’s not to much of a stretch. So, I call him back the next day. And this paranoid person answers the phone, “Hello”? I say, “Hello, I’m looking for A***L”. “Who’s calling”, the voice asks. “My name is [...]

Here’s another blog that I shamelessly enjoy: But You’re Like Really Pretty. I can admit that I love a good seedy gossip blog as much as the big news or art blogs…. I don’t discriminate. Although But You’re Like Really Pretty doesn’t really fall into the category of seedy, I did find it through a seedy gossip blog. But You’re Like Really Pretty is unique in that it’s only updated on Wednesday’s, and each new illustration depicts one of the many ridiculous things going on in the world of celebrities that particular week. Nothing is off limits, from Mel Gibson to Jersey Shore, Paris Hilton to Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry to True Blood. Oh yeah, and there’s iPhone wallpaper downloads :) Here’s a sampling View more at But You’re Like Really Pretty

Sometimes we all need a little reminder about life etiquette, like when feelings of greed, pity, vindication, or narcissism creep up and make us start thinking or doing crazy things. Stuff No One Told Me (but I learned anyway) is a great blog by illustrator, Alex Noriega, that effectively captures these little life lessons in a fun and humorous way. Simple, truthful and relative in some way to everyone’s feelings and experiences at some point in life. Here’s a few of my favorite illustrations from the site: Visit Alex Noriega’s Stuff No One Told Me
Apple Magic Trackpad

The Apple Magic Trackpad is now available, for $69. It’s supposedly just like the trackpad on the MacBook Pro, but larger and made for your desktop Mac. Wireless Bluetooth, of course, and designed to match the “sculpted aluminum” Apple Wireless Keyboard. Click, scroll, swipe, pinch, zoom, and rotate with your fingertips…. or turn off those gestures you don’t want to use. Personally, I wasn’t impressed one bit by the magic mouse, so I’m a bit skeptical of this one too. Still, I have hope that the Magic Trackpad will leave me stunned and amazed…. or at least empty pocketed and confused :) Right, and I right here folks? (please don’t lynch me) See more at www.apple.com/magictrackpad

This creative marketing campaign by Barcelona-based Grey Agency, for Pilot Extra-Fine tipped pens, features lego minfigs sporting intricate full body tattoos. Like the guys over at geekologie, I too question the actual size of these minfigs canvases. They are probably drawn on larger figures, but either way, it’s a pretty clever ad campaign. Awesome chest fur on the second dude, too.
